This Privacy Policy explains how SoCal Home Solar ("we," "us," or "our"), an independent solar sales representative working with CPTL Energy, collects, uses, and protects information you provide through socalhomesolar.com (the "Site") when you request a solar quote or consultation in Orange County or San Diego County, California.

Information we collect

When you submit a quote request, we collect:

• Your full name, phone number, and email address.
• Your service address (street, city, state, ZIP).
• Optional utility information you choose to share, including a copy of your latest utility bill or your annual kWh usage.
• Your contact and (optional) marketing consent selections and the date/time the form was submitted.
• Basic technical data your browser sends automatically (IP address, browser type, referring page) used for security and to keep the Site working.

How we use your information

• To contact you about your solar quote by phone, text, and email.
• To pull satellite imagery of your roof, check shading, and confirm your utility (SCE or SDG&E) territory to design an accurate quote.
• To prepare proposals with our installation partner (CPTL Energy) and with PPA providers you choose to consider.
• To send occasional updates about solar incentives, rebates, and new programs only if you opted in to marketing messages.
• To meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party lead buyers. You will not receive a flood of calls or texts from random installers because of submitting this form.

Who we share information with

We share information only with parties that help us serve you:

• CPTL Energy, our installation and operations partner, to design, price, permit, and install your system.
• PPA providers only if you choose to be quoted for a PPA option, so they can prepare an offer for you.
• Service providers that host this Site, store leads (Google Sheets and our database), and send transactional email and SMS on our behalf. These vendors may only use your information to provide services to us.
• Authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.

Calls, texts, and TCPA consent

By checking the contact consent box, you agree we may contact you at the phone number provided, including by autodialed calls, prerecorded messages, and SMS, about your solar quote and related services. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out anytime by replying STOP to a text or by emailing us. Calls may be recorded for quality and training.

Utility bill uploads

Utility bills are optional. If you upload one, it is stored securely and used only to read your 12-month usage and rate plan for quoting. We do not post bills publicly and access is restricted to authorized team members.

Data retention

We keep quote requests and related communications for as long as needed to serve you, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time using the contact below.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and authenticated admin access, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Your California privacy rights

California residents may request to know what personal information we hold about them, request a copy, request deletion, or opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise a right, email us using the contact below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Cookies

The Site uses only the cookies and local storage needed to operate the site and remember your session if you sign in to the admin area. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies.

Children

This Site is intended for homeowners and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
